Silver Sachet with Grape and Floral Bird Motifs

Unearthed from the crypt of Famen Temple, the spherical brazier uses concentric rings (gimbals) so that the incense cup stays level no matter how it turns—the ancient "bed warmer censer" design, the pinnacle of Tang gold and silver craftsmanship.

Multi-legged Censers

Five-legged and three-legged silver and gold censers, used for Buddhist rituals and the imperial court, often decorated with lotus motifs.

Handled Censer (Hand Warmer / Procession Burner)

With a long handle, held by monks and Daoists during incense processions and rituals, and also used in noble processions.
