Origin: Turkey, Iran, and the Asia Minor region; introduced since ancient times via the Silk Road.
Aroma: intense, sweet and moist with a resinous note, highly penetrating.
Uses: used in incense blends to enhance fragrance; better known for the "Storax Pill"—opening the orifices, dispelling turbidity, and moving qi, chiefly treating stroke and chest impediment; seeIncense and Medicine Formulas。
