Songzhuang isn't only in paintings—it's also on the east side of Beijing. Sort out how to get here, where to park, and what to visit along the way in advance, and on the day you arrive, all that's left is enjoying the incense.
Our physical store is in the Songzhuang Art District area of Tongzhou, Beijing. Driving is convenient via the East 6th Ring Road or the Jingha Expressway; for public transport, you can first get to the city center and then transfer to a line heading toward Songzhuang—please refer to the current navigation for specific stops. We recommend confirming the day's business hours and your arrival time on the contact page before setting out, to avoid a wasted trip.
There are parking areas around the art district; weekend spaces are tighter than on weekdays, so arriving a bit earlier is more relaxed. There are plenty of cafés and small restaurants nearby—many people put “experiencing incense” after visiting exhibitions, and half a day works out just right.
Songzhuang is a long-established art district, packed with galleries, studios, and small art museums. Before or after experiencing incense, drop by a couple of galleries—switch channels for both your sense of smell and your eyes, and the experience becomes more well-rounded. We opened our store here precisely to make buying incense something you can “browse at a leisurely pace.”
Come to Songzhuang: incense is the main event, exhibitions are the bonus.
If it's your first visit, you can leave a message on the contact page in advance so the shopkeeper can prepare sample incense from the producing regions you'd like to try. Coming with questions and coming with your nose make a very different experience.
Tell us your specific situation clearly, and we'll give you the corresponding judgment and advice—sourcing, personal use, and authentication are all welcome.
