This agarwood shop in Songzhuang lets you sit down, smell the incense, and then decide

Many incense friends come here for the first time drawn by the shop name from "Along the River During the Qingming Festival." After sitting down, they realize this shop works differently.

No talk of buying at the door

The flagship store of Wubaiyi agarwood in Beijing Songzhuang International Art District, named "Liu Family Colored Agarwood and Sandalwood Select Incense Shop," takes its name from the incense and medicine shop elements in "Along the River During the Qingming Festival." The arrangement in the shop deliberately slows the pace: upon entering, first smell a few samples, record the scents in your nose, then talk about other things.

Keeping a table is worth more than keeping a row of shelves

We didn't cram the walls with products; instead, we left an incense-smelling area in the middle—a wooden table and a few chairs. Agarwood is a slow thing; guests are willing to sit down, and only then does the fragrance have a chance to be seriously heard. Many people's first bracelet and first stick of incense come from sitting down and talking.

Visible and touchable material selection

Raw materials, bracelets, and incense sticks are all placed within reach; oil lines, texture, and weight can be seen and held on the spot. Combined with the in-store ¥9.9 public welfare appraisal, first keep the "fake" outside the door, then talk about whether you like it or not. The meaning of a physical store is to make up for the information that a screen cannot convey.

A good shop is one where you can smell, touch, ask, and then willingly stay a while.
