Agarwood absorbs its surroundings — a few habits keep it true for years.

Agarwood resin is porous and readily absorbs nearby scents. Leave a bracelet next to perfume or in a kitchen and it will pick up the room. Good storage is less about preserving wood and more about protecting the aroma.
Keep beads and chips in a sealed bag or small airtight container. Expel air where you can. For a bracelet, the original pouch plus a zip bag works well.
Store different grades or different materials (say, agarwood and sandalwood) apart. Shared air means shared scent, and you want each piece to stay itself.
Bracelets: wear, then return to the sealed pouch. Chips for heating: keep the unscented remainder sealed; once heated, a chip will not regain its raw aroma, so store unused chips away from used ones.
If a piece smells of something it should not, it has cross-scented. A short airing in clean, unscented air can help; prevention is easier than repair.
Properly stored, the aroma stays for years. It fades faster if exposed to heat, light, water or strong surrounding smells that the resin absorbs.
No. Humidity and scented products there are exactly what shortens the scent. Keep beads sealed, cool and dry.
Not necessary. A cool, dark, sealed drawer is enough; refrigeration risks condensation and is rarely worth it.
